Boiler Operative Accredited Scheme
Run by the Combustion Engineering Association and the Carbon Trust

This is the nationally recognised training scheme which extends the scope of the former City and Guilds qualification to include health and safety, energy efficiency and good environmental practice.

Duration is five days comprising of :-
4 Days intensive training, 1 Day written exam paper +
Independent assessment.
The successful candidate will receive a certificate valid for five years and the entitlement to use the designation ‘Certified Industrial Boiler Operative’ (Cert. IBO)

   

 

To encourage employers, The Carbon Trust will provide free surveys to organisations with energy bills greater than £50,000 pa.

Small number groups are readily catered for.

Boiler Operation, Safety and Maintenance
A two day course comprising of operation and safety as above. Including ‘hands on’ maintenance and fault finding exercises. Directed at maintenance and engineering personnel. This goes much deeper, in a manner that develops a logical process. This will enable maintenance engineers to achieve a better understanding of their plant, leading to safer and more efficient operation.
